YES!
I did fix one of my bigger problems
The problems:
- Could not update the bios on my new laptop
on Windows Vista 64-Bit and on Windows 7 64-Bit - When I installed Windows 7 on my new Samsung
R610 laptop I got several problems. The biggest problem was that the standard VGA
graphic driver was the only driver that worked.
And the NVidia driver crashed my computer.
How-To and the solution:
- I installed Windows Vista 32-Bit and did the bios
update from the Samsung support page. - After the bios update I installed a fresh copy of
Windows 7.Then downloaded and installed the newest driver on NVidias download page.
Before any updates from Microsoft!
Now I got great resolutions and I can use my external screen.
Better than with Windows Vista!
After some extra job, but that’s okay

Hy, I have the same laptop and my webcam is not recornized in seven, do you have the save problem?
Thank you.
Have you done the Bios upgrade?
My Windows 7 can see the webcamera, but I have not tried to install any camera application yet.

Hi I have windows 7 and the webcam works fine on my R610. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and I used the vista drivers that came with the laptop on the system software media CD.
I don’t think the XP drivers will work for 7 – but I may be wrong. Try the Vista ones instead.
I’m more dissoppointed with the screen resolution on the laptop since installing Win7 1280 x 1024.
It’s a Geforce 9200M GS and Nvidia have a Windows 7 driver on there site.
The resolution on the laptop is 1366 x 768, but I got better resolution on a external screen.
Can you give me a link to this bios update please
